Workplace Coaching
Success in your career either in supervision and management, employment in a small or large organisation or as the owner of a small business depends not on your product and systems alone but on how well you get on with other people in the workplace. A difficult manager or difficult employee can be a nightmare. Getting up to face a day of conflict or bullying creates stress in your life from the moment you wake. It can affect your health, your relationship with people close to you and most certainly your satisfaction and success at work.
At the opposite end is the dream job where each day is filled with achievement and satisfaction. Most of us live the bulk of our working lives somewhere in the middle of these two extremes. Within this middle ground we will still experience, from time to time, the nightmare and the dream.
When you know how to handle difficult people at work; when you can embrace assertiveness, the skill of being able to look after your own needs while respecting the needs of others; when you have a good level of awareness of the different ways people express themselves and your own style of communication then your working life can be more positive and the nightmares short-lived.
